Lukoil has approved a project for the construction of additional facilities at a polypropylene plant in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The complex will be expanded and a mesh for the production of polymer - polypropylene will be introduced. 67 million rubles were allocated for the construction. Note that this complex produces 10% of all gasoline in the country. Also produces 150,000 tons of bitumen. In the near future, two connecting roads will be built: Kazan - Yekaterinburg and Moscow - Kazan. They will allow you to deliver the product for import or export in the shortest possible time. Lukoil is the second largest oil firm in the Russian Federation. Analysts and financial experts agreed that the construction of a complex for the production of polypropylene (PP) in Russia would be an excellent investment in the long term. The land for construction was purchased in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Kstovo.

In terms of its scale, the complex will be the largest in Russia, consolidated with an oil refinery. The efficiency of the produced feedstock will be achieved thanks to the propylene produced by the production at 2 modernized catalytic cracking units. The total capacity of the units provides the output of 4 million tons of product for a calendar period (year). By implementing the project and launching it at full capacity, the enterprise will be able to supply the Russian market and export about 500,000 tons of various grades of polypropylene. It is known that Lukoil chose Novolen polypropylene (PP) technology. This technology is patented by Lummus Technolog. The project includes not only the construction of a polymer production line, but also staff training, support and certification services. According to statistical data, PP supplies to the domestic market of the Russian Federation from the beginning of 2021 to May - amounted to 607,870 tons. The indicator is significantly higher than 2020 and amounts to 33%. Company management at the grand opening of construction. Laying the first stone:
