Description

An organochlorine compound, written using the formula ClCH2CO2H. It is a useful building material in organic synthesis.
MHUK is soluble in ethyl alcohol, benzene, and chloroform at a temperature of 20 degrees.

The formation process when replacing chlorine with sulfur results in the production of thioglycolic acid.
This version of the product is used as a stabilizer in the production of PVC.
The second use case is for impurities in the components of some cosmetics.
For building mixtures, chloroacetic acid is used as a thickener - carboxymethyl cellulose.
